The first week of August we drove to Utah again! This time we made just a quick stop in Orem to celebrate Neil's birthday. We had a fun Hansen family cousin slumber party too! More fun for me because I got to sleep in the basement while Neil and his brother took care of the cousins. :) It got exciting around midnight when a storm blew through and the kids had to scurry in from the backyard and find places to sleep in the house!
We were anxiously anticipating this vacation to St. George all summer! It is such a fun, relaxing place to visit. We swam every day. Neil and Jared had some epic, sweaty tennis matches, the girls did some shopping at the outlets, we had some Fiesta Fun, and best of all (at least for my family) was seeing "Tarzan the Musical" at Tuacahn! Jared and Jaime and their family, Grandma and Grandpa Hemmert, and cousins Daniel and Jacob joined us.
Of course we visted Snow Canyon. First things first! (That's a lot of kids!)
Hayley and Emily brought their colorguard flags along to get some practice in. Emily pauses to learn from Hayley's more experienced twirling.
That's better!
Oooh, a small setback.
Uh . . .
That's it! Give it some attitude!
Jared and Neil braved the steep slopes of the "Pioneer Names" point of interest.
Only a few boys needed to be rescued.
Jaime and Preston mastered the go-carts. We all took a spin (exept for Ashton--he just cried while he watched his Mom and Dad zoom by.) Grandma lost her visor at one point and someone nearly caused a collision trying to pick it up again!
Yes, Fiesta Fun is in the shadow of the beautiful St. George Temple.
Do you think these boys are getting their Yin and Yang aligned?
Jeff, Preston, and Jacob. Boy cousin bonding!
Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for letting us share your condo! We loved it!
